Construct: Noun
Definition: A job done by a tradesman in his spare time on contract to someone other than his normal employer (see Nixer).
Use: I did a foxer in wiring his house last night.
I wired his house after working hours.
Derivation: Note Irish 'Fochrach' - a hireling, a mercenary and 'Fochraic' - a reward, recompense, payment. (Joynt and Knott)
