Definition: Tea.
Use: I'll have a cup of scauld.
I'll have a cup of tea.
Derivation: Unknown, but note 'Scála' - a cup, a bowl. (Dinneen). Or from the practise of 'Scalding' - pouring boiling water into the teapot before putting tea in the pot.
