Definition: Credit, slate.
Use: There isn't a shop in Cork that would give that fellow tick.
He cannot get credit in any shop in Cork.
Derivation: A colloquialism, an abbreviation of 'on the ticket' - credit. (Concise Oxford Dictionary).
