Definition: Stupid.
Use: He's crackawly.
He is a stupid person.
Derivation: Possibly Old English 'Crack' - a crazy or soft-headed person. The Irish 'Éalaí' may have been added. (Partridge)
Nore 'Crackaulee' - a giddy young person of destructive habits, or 'Creacaill' - a person of cross diposition; also 'Creacaille, perhaps 'Creach aillidhe' (unwarranted suffix of agency) or English 'Crack-all.
