Construct: Verb
Definition: To tempt, to tantalise (in relation to children).
For instance, offering sweets but withdrawing them as the child reaches for them.
Use: Don't be grigging the child.
Don't be tantalising the child.
Derivation: From Irish 'Griogadh'. 'Na bí ag déanamh griogtha ar an leanbh leis - Don't ne tempting (grigging) the child with it.' (Dinneen)
