LIP, TO HAVE A ... FOR

Construct: Noun
Definition: To have a great desire for (usually drink).
Use: He has a great lip on him for drink.
He has a great liking for alcoholic drink.
Derivation: Doubtful, but probably related to 'Lip', hence taste and appetite.
