Construct: Noun
Definition: To succeed in attracting the favours of a girl.
Use: I scored at the dance.
I took a girl home from the dance.
Derivation: Unknown, but probably association of scoring and winning. And note 'Score' - a reckoning, to make a reckoning, so called from the custom of marking off 'runs' or 'lengths' in games but the score feet. (Brewer).
