Construct: Noun
Definition: Satisfaction, pleasure (used in negative context).
Use: I wouldn't give him the soot of it.
I wouldn't give him the satisfaction of having it.
Derivation: Doubtful, but perhaps 'Sotal'. 'Ní raibh mé faoi shotal ar bith dó - I did not give way to him in the least'. (Dinneen).
